Pensees’s Intelligent Non-Contact Body Temperature Monitoring System Helps Work&Schooling Resumption

“While keeping a tight grip on pandemic control, lose no time to resume work.” Since March, the situation of pandemic prevention and control in China has continued to improve, but the current overseas outbreak has put great pressure on China regarding domestic efforts. At the same time as "prevent imported cases, control local spread", how to orderly and effectively promote work and schooling resumption so that the losses caused by the pandemic can be minimized has become the most important issue in all sectors of society. Based on its AIoT technology advantages, Pensees responded quickly and launched a comprehensive solution, namely the Intelligent Non-Contact Body Temperature Monitoring System. This system deploys different front-end devices such as Intelligent FR Access Control System with an Integrated Thermal Temperature Monitoring Module, Intelligent Portable FR and Thermal Temperature Monitoring System, to realize non-contact, multi-target accurate body temperature measurement. It helps improve comprehensively the temperature measurement efficiency and thus strengthens pandemic prevention and control of every sector. Since the launch on February 6, the products like Intelligent FR Access Control System with an Integrated Thermal Temperature Monitoring Module, Intelligent Portable FR and Thermal Temperature Monitoring System have been deployed in hospitals, office buildings, government service centers, schools and other premises.

Intelligent FR Access Control System with an Integrated Thermal Temperature Monitoring Module

Pensees’s Intelligent FR Access Control System with an Integrated Thermal Temperature Monitoring Module offers various versions, including single-point wrist temperature measurement, forehead temperature measurement, thermal imaging temperature measurement. Equipped with Pensees’s inhouse-developed masked face recognition detection and recognition algorithms, this product integrates an infrared thermal imaging module that enables contactless and accurate temperature measurement suitable for turnstile and access control, delivering efficient and safe access. Face and temperature data are connected to facilitate record tracing. A plug-and-play module design with options of temperature measurement, fingerprint recognition, and IC card reading is adopted as an add-on module to the existing Pensees FR access control system. Demand for temperature monitoring of personnel entering office is met with efficient and accurate temperature screening and statistical functions. Also, this series of products leverage Pensees Intelligent Access Cloud Management Platform to accommodate operation modes such as Access Control, Turnstile, Intelligent Greeting, Visitor Management, Attendance, Meeting Service. Therefore, the product can still be used after the pandemic. The Intelligent Portable FR and Thermal Temperature Monitoring System consists of a portable main processing unit (MPU) and a thermal camera (or cameras). With an infrared/visible light dual-channel imaging system and inhouse-developed technologies of face recognition and pedestrian ReID, it enables contactless body temperature measurement, real-time calibration of temperature sensor, automatic alert of person with fever, temperature record synchronization to back-end platform and more. Fast body temperature screening can be realized at premises with crowds of high density and traffic such as railway stations, bus stations, subways, airports, government halls. Besides, the system deploys a framework of “cloud+edge+end” and the function of big data analysis at the back-end platform to accurately locate persons with fever and their close contacts. Overall, the system supports flexible deployment, local networking, and delivers high accuracy.

01 Hankou Hospital in Wuhan Hankou Hospital in Wuhan has become one of the first batch of designated hospitals for the treatment of patients infected with COVID-19 since January 21, with more than 400 beds. By March 10, it had treated 1,095 patients. As one of the bridgeheads to fight the pandemic, it has used the Intelligent FR Access Control System with an Integrated Thermal Temperature Monitoring Module donated by Pensees mainly for temperature screening and attendance taking of medical workers and other staff. With Pensees’s inhouse-developed face detection and recognition algorithms, the system can recognize masked medical workers in one second and measure their wrist temperature.

02 Fengyang High School in Anhui Fengyang High School in Anhui Province is a provincial pilot high school with more than 5,000 faculty and students. With the easing of the domestic pandemic situation, while the school continues to make efforts in pandemic prevention and control, it has also begun to prepare for schooling resumption in spring. The school has deployed Pensees’s Intelligent Portable FR and Thermal Temperature Monitoring System. The system is installed at entrance of the campus and can perform non-contact temperature measurement within 3 meters with a maximum measurement error of 0.3°C only (with black body). A single terminal supports access to 4 cameras, and each camera supports simultaneous temperature measurement of up to 16 targets. In this way, it can achieve real-time temperature measurement of faculty and students, ensure smooth traffic and reduce the risk of infection due to gathering.

03 Buildings of Avic Const Group The urban unit represented by office buildings is not only the last mile of the pandemic prevention and control, but also an important part of economic and social order recovery. Avic Const Group is a modern large-scale state-owned enterprise oriented to urban comprehensive operation and construction. It is the first to use Pensees’s Intelligent FR Access Control System with an Integrated Thermal Temperature Monitoring Module during work resumption. The system supports masked face recognition. It measures body temperature of personnel entering buildings. Turnstiles automatically open in case of normal temperature measured. Meanwhile, automatic cloud-end statistics of temperature data facilitates potential subsequent tracing.

04 Government Affairs Service Center, Huairou District, Beijing To do well in pandemic prevention and control, including lowering risk of cross-infection, various local government service management departments are vigorously promoting the digital services, but there are still a few demands of offline services. The Government Service Center in Huairou District, Beijing chose Pensees’s Intelligent FR Access Control System with an Integrated Thermal Temperature Monitoring Module for body temperature measurement of staff and the public. Temperature records are displayed on screen of the device when a wrist approaches. Meanwhile, AIalgorithm detects whether the person has worn a mask. Alerts shall be issued in case of abnormal temperature measured or absence of mask detected.

Pensees’s Intelligent Non-Contact Body Temperature Monitoring System is rooted in the real needs of the market. Flexible deployment upon delivery and cloud-end upgrade make it cater to multiple scenarios such as hospitals, schools, office buildings, parks, communities, government affairs centers, railway stations, bus stations, subways and airports. Order is now open. For more details, please reach Pensees at james.cai(@)pensees.ai
